The idea came to a 26-year old one night at an open meeting: he thought the "Urban Seed" strategy could be excellent for promoting local gardens. He found people who cared about gardening and working on starting the Eastpointe Community Garden, including Master Gardeners, Landscapers, and residents of Eastpointe – it was only shortly after that they became known as Urban Seed’s first garden.
